More than cooling the air, the main function of an air conditioner is to dehumidify the air to create a comfortable environment. The water released from the dehumidified air is then drained away. If your air conditioning system is located in your attic, this can pose serious problems. If your drain ever clogs, the condensation will overflow from your air conditioner and onto your ceiling. Repairing or replacing your ceiling could cost you hundreds or possibly even thousands of dollars if you have a cathedral ceiling. For this reason, we offer a Water Protection Kit.

Even if your air conditioning system is not located in the attic, perhaps you have it located in the basement where adjoining rooms may be finished off with carpet and walls, the Water Protection Kit can potentially prevent damage to these area's as well. And let's say you have a high efficiency gas furnace, this too will produce condensation water when it's operating.

The Water Protection Kit is designed to catch any potential leaks caused by the heating/air conditioning system. The Water Protection kit consist of an EZ trap and a Wet Switch. The EZ Trap is designed to shut down the heating/air conditioning system in the event that the condensation drainage piping should get blocked and back up with water. The Wet Switch is designed to shut down the heating/air conditioning system in the event that water flows out of the equipment. If necessary or required, a factory made or custom fabricated auxiliary drain pan can be included for an additional fee. In most cases, when the system has been shut down, it eliminates more condensation from occurring. At this point, you realize that your heating or air conditioning system is no longer working and you can contact us to correct the problem without having to pay for expensive water damage remediation.
